action
Darryl Hughley has it all - but he doesn't know what to do with it.
He is a successful Afro-American businessman and has moved into a wonderful dream home with his family in a typical American suburb. White houses, white front yard fences and white neighbors.
Although Darryl's wife Yvonne and his two children, 7-year-old Sydney and 9-year-old Michael, are excited about the new home, he cannot really settle in himself. He torments himself with accusations: is he betraying his origin and his black roots with the new life in prosperity? Because that's what his best friend Milsap thinks.
His son Michael, who loves a white boy band, and his daughter Sydney, who prefers a blonde Barbie doll, give him just as much headache as his new neighbors, Dave and Sally Rogers, who he suspects of being racist. Luckily there is the wonderful Yvonne who keeps bringing her husband back down to earth, and she does it in a refreshing and funny way.
