The Allstar SZD-54-2 Perkoz ( German  Lappentaucher ) is a two-seat training and performance glider from the Polish manufacturer Allstar PZL Glider (formerly PZL Bielsko).

history

The SZD-54 was developed in 1991 by Adam Meus as the successor to the well-known SZD-50 Puchacz two-seater , but was not brought into production until 2011 due to the political and financial situation of the manufacturer and the country. The aircraft was developed in accordance with the CS ‑ 22 building regulations and is approved for aerobatics and the EASA utility category (2013 in the 17.5 m variant and 2014 in the 20 m variant).

construction

The Perkoz is a two-seater middle-decker in GRP half-shell construction, except for the rudder, which is covered. Similar to the Puchacz, the previous model, you will find a one-piece hood, a cross tail and a fixed landing gear with braked main wheel (but in this case hydraulic), tail wheel and nose wheel.

The aircraft can be upgraded with 17.5 m (with and without winglets ) and 20 m span (with winglets), each for aerobatics (without winglets) and cross-country flight. As with the Puchacz, all rudder connections are automatic swivel connections. Unlike the Hänle bags, the oars must be kept in the correct position when upgrading.

The aircraft was designed for a service life of 15,000 hours, but so far the approval is only valid up to 3000 hours.
