Almagro Island is an island in Samar Province in the Philippines . It is located about 33 km off the north coast of Biliran Island , 60 km west of Calbayog City and 45 km east of Masbate Island in the western part of the Samar Sea . The island has an area of ​​about 27.20 km² and is administered by the municipality of the same name, Almagro .

Almagro Island is of volcanic origin. The inactive volcano Mount Opow reaches a height of 503 meters above sea level. The vegetation of the island consists partly of dense, tropical vegetation, but partly also of intensively agriculturally used areas. There is no tourist infrastructure on the island.

To the east of the island are Karikiki Island about 12 km away and Santo Niño Island about 25 km away. Maripipi Island is 26 km south of the island and Tagapul-an Island is 31 km north .
