Tagapul-an Island is an island in Samar Province in the Philippines . It is located about 66 km off the north coast of Biliran Island , 77 km west of Calbayog City and 18 km east of Masbate Island in the western part of the central Samar Sea . The island has an area of ​​around 28.70 km² and is administered by the municipality of the same name, Tagapul-an .

Tagapul-an Iceland is of volcanic origin. The coastline of the island is characterized by shallow bays. The topography of the island has a flat hilly character and rises in the center of the island to over 300 meters above sea level. The vegetation of the island consists partly of dense, tropical vegetation, but partly also of intensively agriculturally used areas. There is no tourist infrastructure on the island.

To the southeast of the island are Karikiki Island about 34 km away and Santo Niño Island about 44 km away. 31 km south lies Almagro Island and 57 km south of the island lies Maripipi Island . Tagapul-an Island can be reached via the port in Cataingan ; the ferry ride takes about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the weather.
