Alois Georg Schenk (born February 4, 1888 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ; † September 24, 1949 there ) was a German church painter.

Life

Alois Schenk studied at the Academy of Arts in Stuttgart, where he was a student of Robert Poetzelberger , Christian Landenberger and Adolf Hölzel .

In the 1920s he furnished several new Catholic churches, especially in the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, with murals and stations of the cross, including expressionist churches by the architect Otto Linder .
