action

The father of the family Jacob returns to his home after spending several days in New York. He brought a present for his family: an old grandfather clock. He places this on the fireplace. The clock comes from an old house in Amityville . None of the family knows that the watch has a demonic life of its own. The first to feel this life of its own is the son Rusty. When he comes back home after a night's walk, he finds the neighbor dog in the living room. He sits in front of the clock and barks at it. When Rusty turns on the light, the whole living room turns into an old room, but it disappears just as quickly as it appeared. Rusty thinks it was all imaginary and goes to bed. The next day Jacob is attacked by the neighbor dog while jogging. Jacob can barely save himself by smashing the dog's snout with a broken bottle, but has to go to the hospital immediately. Then Andrea (Jacob's friend) and son Rusty pay the neighbor a visit. The dog appears unharmed and it looks like it never attacked Jacob. When a strange time difference occurs later that evening, one thing is certain for Rusty: The house is haunted, and the old grandfather clock is to blame for it. The horror finally takes its course, grows stronger night after night, and Father Jacob becomes stranger and stranger. Ultimately, the family manages to destroy the watch and the spook is over.
