Na Mon District ( Thai : อำเภอ นาม น ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of the province of Kalasin . The province of Kalasin is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

The neighboring districts start clockwise from the northeast: the Amphoe Huai Phueng , Kuchinarai , Don Chan , Mueang Kalasin and Somdet . All Amphoe are in Kalasin Province.

history

Na Mon was initially set up as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) on September 20, 1973 , by separating the three Tambon Na Mon, Yot Kaeng and Song Plueai from the Mueang Kalasin district . On January 1, 1988, Na Mon was promoted to Amphoe.

In Na Mon District is located Rajabhat University Kalasin .

The district of Na Mon is divided into five tambon ("subdistricts" or "municipalities"), which are further subdivided into 67 Muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Song Plueai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สง เปลือย ) consists of the entire tambon Song Plueai.
  • Na Mon (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นาม น ) consists of parts of the Tambon Na Mon.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Na Mon (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล นาม น )
  • Yot Kaeng (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ยอด แกง )
  • Lak Liam (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หลัก เหลี่ยม )
  • Nong Bua (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนองบัว )
