Amphoe Kamalasai ( Thai : อำเภอ ก มลาไสย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of Kalasin Province . The province of Kalasin is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

The neighboring districts start clockwise from the west: Amphoe Khong Chai , Mueang Kalasin and Don Chan in the province of Kalasin, Amphoe Pho Chai in the province of Roi Et , Amphoe Rong Kham in turn in Kalasin and Amphoe Changhan again in the province of Roi Et.

Attractions

  • Mueang Fa Daet (full name Mueang Fa Daet Song Yang , เมือง ฟ้า แดด สง ยาง ) - archaeological site of a 1000 year old city from the Dvaravati period about 19 kilometers southeast of the city of Kalasin.

There are five municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Lak Mueang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หลักเมือง ) consists of parts of the Tambon Lak Mueang.
  • Dong Ling (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดง ลิง ) consists of the whole tambon Dong Ling.
  • Kamalasai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ก มลาไสย ) consists of parts of the Tambon Kamalasai and the remaining parts of the Tambon Lak Mueang.
  • Thanya (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ธัญ ญา ) consists of parts of the Tambon Thanya.
  • Nong Paen (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง แป น ) consists of the whole Tambon Nong Paen.
