Amphoe Kham Muang ( Thai : อำเภอ คำม่วง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the north of Kalasin Province . The province of Kalasin is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

The neighboring districts are starting clockwise from the south-east: the Amphoe Somdet , Sahatsakhan and Sam Chai in the province of Kalasin, Amphoe Wang Sam Mo of Udon Thani Province , and Amphoe Kut Bak and Phu Phan the province of Sakon Nakhon .

history

Kham Muang was initially set up on October 1, 1972 as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by separating the three tambon Thung Khlong, Phon and Sam Ron from the Amphoe Sahatsakhan . On September 8, 1976, Kham Muang was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Kham Muang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คำม่วง ) consists of parts of the Tambon Thung Khlong.
  • Phon (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โพน ) consists of parts of the Tambon Phon.
  • Na Than (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา ทัน ) consists of the entire Tambon Na Than.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):
