Yang Talat District ( Thai : อำเภอ ยางตลาด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of the province of Kalasin . The province of Kalasin is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

geography

The neighboring districts start clockwise from the northwest: the Amphoe Huai Mek , Nong Kung Si , Mueang Kalasin and Khong Chai in the province of Kalasin, as well as the Amphoe Kantharawichai and Chiang Yuen in the province of Maha Sarakham .

history

Originally the area was called Pachim Kalasin ( ป จิ ม กาฬสินธุ์ ), in 1913 the name was changed to Phu Len Chang ( ภู แล่น ช้าง ). In 1917 the name was changed again, this time to today's Yang Talat.

There are eight municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

Um Mao (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล อุ่ ม เม่า ) consists of parts of the tambon Um Mao.
Khao Phra Non (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เขา พระ นอน ) consists of the entire tambon Khao Phra Non.
Non Sung (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนนสูง ) consists of the entire Tambon Non Sung.
Khok Si (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โคก ศรี ) consists of parts of the Tambon Dok Sombun and Um Mao.
Yang Talat (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ยางตลาด ) consists of parts of the Tambon Yang Talat.
Bua Ban (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บัว บาน ) consists of the entire tambon Bua Ban.
Hua Na Kham (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หัว นา คำ ) consists of the entire Tambon Hua Na Kham.
Itue (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล อิ ตื้อ ) consists of the entire tambon itue.
