Amphoe Na Khu ( Thai : อำเภอ นา คู ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of Kalasin Province . The province of Kalasin is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

The neighboring districts start clockwise from the south: the Amphoe Khao Wong , Kuchinarai and Huai Phueng in the province of Kalasin, the Amphoe Phu Phan and Tao Ngoi in the province of Sakon Nakhon and Amphoe Dong Luang in the province of Mukdahan .

history

Na Khu was established on April 1, 1995, initially as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by being separated from Amphoe Khao Wong .

On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

Na Khu County is divided into five tambon ("sub-districts" or "parishes"), which are further subdivided into 55 muban ("villages").

Local administration

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Phu Laen Chang (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ภู แล่น ช้าง ) consists of the entire tambon Phu Laen Chang.
  • Na Khu (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา คู ) consists of parts of the Tambon Na Khu.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Na Khu (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล นา คู )
  • Sai Na Wang (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล สาย นา วัง )
  • Non Na Chan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โนน นา จาน )
