Amphoe Changhan ( Thai : อำเภอ จัง หาร ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the northwest of the Roi Et province . The province of Roi Et is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .
geography
Changhan district borders the following counties (from the east clockwise) to the Amphoe Chiang Khwan and Mueang Roi Et province Roi Et, at Amphoe Mueang Maha Sarakham the province of Maha Sarakham , and to the Amphoe Khong Chai and Kamalasai the province of Kalasin .
history
Changhan was first established on April 1, 1989 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating five tambon from the Mueang Roi Et district . Tambon Yang Nai was separated from Tambon Pa Fa in July 1989 and Phakwaen from Muang Lat in July 1990. On September 8, 1995, Changhan was promoted to Amphoe.

Local administration
There are four municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:
- Changhan (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล จัง หาร ) consisting of the complete tambon Changhan.
- Dong Sing (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดง สิงห์ ) consisting of the complete tambon Dong Sing.
- Phak Waen (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ผักแว่น ) consisting of the complete tambon Phak Waen.
- Din Dam (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดินดำ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Din Dam.
There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):
- Pa Fa (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ปา ฝา ) consisting of the complete Tambon Pa Fa.
- Muang Lat (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ม่วง ลาด ) consisting of the complete Tambon Muang Lat.
- Yang Yai (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ยาง ใหญ่ ) consisting of the complete tambon Yang Yai.
- Saen Chat (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล แสน ชาติ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Saen Chat.
