Amphoe Pho Chai ( Thai : อำเภอ โพธิ์ชัย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the north of the province of Roi Et . The province of Roi Et is located in the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Pho Chai District borders the following counties (from the east clockwise) to the Amphoe Phon Thong , Selaphum and Chiang Khwan in the province of Roi Et Province, and to the Amphoe Rong Kham , Don Chan and Kuchinarai the province of Kalasin .

history

Pho Chai was initially set up on April 1, 1974 as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by separating the four tambon Chiang Mai, Kham Pia, Sa-at and Kham Pha-ung from the Phon Thong Amphoe . It was promoted to Amphoe on March 25, 1979.

Local administration

There are four municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Chai Wari (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ชัย วารี ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Kham Pia.
  • Chiang Mai (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เชียงใหม่ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Chiang Mai.
  • Akkha Kham (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล อัคคะ คำ ) consisting of the complete tambon Akkha Kham.
  • Kham Pha-ung (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คำ พ อุ ง ) consisting of the complete tambon Kham Pha-ung.

There are also six " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO):

  • Kham Pia (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ขาม เปี้ ย ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Kham Pia.
  • Bua Kham (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล บัว คำ ) consisting of the complete tambon Bua Kham.
  • Sa-at (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล สะอาด ) consisting of the complete tambon Sa-at.
  • Nong Takai (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง ตา ไก้ ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nong Takai.
  • Don Ong (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ดอน โอ ง ) consisting of the complete tambon Don Ong.
  • Pho Si (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โพธิ์ ศรี ) consisting of the complete tambon Pho Si.
