Amphoe Srinagarindra ( Thai : อำเภอ ศรีนครินทร์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in Phatthalung Province . Phatthalung Province is located in the southern region of Thailand , about 840 kilometers south of Bangkok on the Malay Peninsula .

Neighboring districts and areas (clockwise from north): Amphoe Si Banphot , Khuan Khanun , Mueang Phatthalung and Kong Ra in Phattalung Province and Amphoe Yan Ta Khao and Na Yong in Trang Province .
history
Srinagarindra was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) on June 26, 1996 by separating the area of today's district from the Amphoe Mueang Phatthalung . The new district officially opened on July 15th. It was initially called Chumphon after the central tambon , but on December 30, 1996 it was renamed Srinagarindra. (The name is said to recall Sri Nagarindra ( ศรี น ค ริน ท รา ), mother of the current King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX.) , Who died on July 18, 1995 at the age of 94.)
On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

Amphoe Srinagarindra is divided into four subdistricts ( tambon ) , which are further subdivided into 42 village communities ( muban ) .

Local administration
There are a total of four small towns ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:
- Chumphon ( เทศบาล ตำบล ชุมพล ) consists of the entire tambon chumphon.
- Ban Na ( เทศบาล ตำบล บ้านนา ) consists of the entire tambon Ban Na.
- Lam Sin ( เทศบาล ตำบล ลำ สิน ธุ์ ) consists of the entire tambon Lam Sin.
- Ang Thong ( เทศบาล ตำบล อ่างทอง ) consists of the entire tambon Ang Thong.
