The Schradenland office was established in 1992 in the Elbe-Elster district of Brandenburg , in which four municipalities in the then Bad Liebenwerda district (from 1993 in the Elbe-Elster district) have merged to form an administrative association. The official seat is the municipality of Val Gardena .

Geographical location

The Schradenland office is located in the southern part of the Elbe-Elster district. It borders in the north on the city of Bad Liebenwerda and the Amt Plessa , in the east on the Amt Ortrand and otherwise on the Free State of Saxony ( district of Meißen ).

The Schradenland office is made up of four municipalities:

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the creation of the Schradenland Office on July 30, 1992. August 10, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The office is based in the municipality of Val Gardena and consisted of four municipalities in what was then the Bad Liebenwerda district (in the order of their names in the official gazette):

  1. Great
  2. Hirschfeld
  3. Val Gardena
  4. Merzdorf

In addition, the municipality of Wainsdorf was assigned to the office. However, this assignment was canceled again on September 15, 1992. Wainsdorf is now part of the municipality of Röderland .

On June 23, 2016, Richter was confirmed in office for a further eight years by the official committee. On January 27, 2020 he was voted out of office by the official committee.
