The Wöltingerode office was a historical administrative area of ​​the Kingdom of Hanover . or the Prussian province of Hanover .

The office was created in 1831 through the merger of the former prince-bishop-Hildesheim offices of Schladen and Vienenburg . In 1852 the community of Neuenkirchen was ceded to the Liebenburg office . During the administrative reform of 1859 the scope remained unchanged. In 1885 the official parish opened in the new Goslar district .
