The Wahrenbrück Office was an office in Brandenburg established in 1992 , in which eleven municipalities in what was then Herzberg County (since 1993 Elbe-Elster County , Brandenburg) had come together to form an administrative association. The official seat was in the city of Wahrenbrück (today Uebigau-Wahrenbrück ). The office was dissolved again in 1998. It had last (late 1997) a total of 3950 inhabitants.

Geographical location

The Wahrenbrück office bordered the Falkenberg / Uebigau office in the north, the Elsterland office in the east, the Bad Liebenwerda office in the south and the Mühlberg / Elbe office in the west .

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the formation of the Wahrenbrück Office on August 19, 1992. August 30, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The approval was limited to August 30, 1994. The office was based in the city of Wahrenbrück and initially consisted of twelve communities in what was then the Bad Liebenwerda district :

The time limit was lifted from July 7, 1994. On September 27, 1998, the communities of Bönitz, Kauxdorf, Beiersdorf, Marxdorf, Prestewitz, Wildgrube, Saxdorf, Domsdorf, Winkel, Beutersitz and Rothstein were incorporated into the city of Wahrenbrück. As of December 31, 2001, the communities Bahnsdorf , Drasdo and Wiederau and the city of Uebigau were incorporated into the city of Wahrenbrück. From this point on, the city was named Stadt Uebigau-Wahrenbrück.
