Culture and sights
- The Kauxdorf village church , built in 1788, is a baroque half-timbered building and is a listed building.
- At the end of the village in the direction of Bönitz there is a medieval atonement cross. It is made of sandstone and has a size of 125 × 55 × 26 cm. In 1945 this cross was moved from the street to the wall of the adjacent property.
- A Dutch windmill is located north of the village . It was built in 1889 as a tower Dutchman and can be documented for the first time on a measuring table from around 1900. After the war, a master Höhne installed the area's first pneumatic system in this so-called Erdholländer without a compass rose . In 1947 the mill got a new rod cross. It was in operation until 1962 and is now badly damaged. Remnants of the hood and wings have been preserved.
