Urfahr district

The Urfahr district was an administrative unit in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria .

The administrative district was subordinate to the district authority for the Mühlkreis, which was located in Linz , and took care of their official business on site. In addition to Urfahr, responsibility extended to the former municipalities of Alberndorf , Altenberg , Engerwitzdorf , Gallneukirchen , Hellmonsödt , Katzbach , Lichtenberg , Pöstlingberg , Sonnberg and Steyregg . At that time it comprised a city, 3 markets and 158 villages.
