Grein District

The Grein district was an administrative unit in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria .

The administrative district was subordinate to the district authority for the Mühlkreis, which was located in Linz , and took care of their official business on site. In addition to Grein, responsibility extended to the former municipalities of Dimbach , Dörfl , Eitzendorf , Gassen , St. Georgen am Walde , Henndorf , Kalmberg , Klam , Kreuzen , Letten , Linden , St. Nikola , Pabneukirchen , Рaпholz , Riedersdorf , Saxen , Struden , St. Thomas , Waldhausen , Wetzelsberg and Wetzelstein . At that time it comprised a city, 7 markets and 14 villages.
