Linden is a village (Rotte) in the market town of Klam in the Perg district in Upper Austria , with 10 inhabitants (2001 census).

geography

Linden lies between 285  m above sea level. A. and 310  m above sea level A. north of the center of Klam and extends on the western edge of the Klamer basin between Bäckerbach and Klambach or between the Klamer districts of Gauning in the southwest and Niederkalmberg in the east and the village of Untergaisberg of the neighboring municipality of Münzbach in the north.

From a geological and geomorphological point of view as well as aspects of the use of space, Sperken belongs predominantly to the Upper Austrian spatial unit southern Mühlviertler Randlage , the associated Thanner homestead on the northwestern edge is already counted as part of the Aist-Naarn-Kuppenland .

The Münzbacher Straße (L 1423) , which runs from Münzbach to Klam, runs through the village .

history

The residents of Linden have belonged to the Klam parish since 1784 (previously the Saxen parish ) and were assigned to the Klam school district . In 1869 131 people lived in 17 houses in Linden.

Between 1896 and 1908 10 farms and houses in Sperken were bought by the owner of Burg Clam and most of them were demolished. The area was fenced in and deer were used. Together with those in the neighboring villages of Sperken and Gauning , 36 houses in the communities of Klam and Baumgartenberg were affected. As a result of the political and economic changes at the end of the First World War , the zoo was closed again.

Buildings

The Aschaubauer cross was erected towards the end of the 18th century, the baker's cross in 1805 and the Aichinger cross around 1870. These are chapels that were donated out of gratitude. The Grübler Cross is a wooden cross on Lindendorfstrasse.
