Oberhörnbach is a village with 63 inhabitants (2001 census) in the market town of Klam in the Perg district in Upper Austria .

geography

The village is located about one kilometer northeast of the center of Klam, next to the border with the neighboring municipality of Saxen (Letten) and is separated from Linden in the northwest by the Klambach . In the west of Oberhörnbach there is the Markt Klam, in the south the village of Achtzberg, in the south-east the village of Unterhörnbach and in the north the village of Niederkalmberg. On the southern edge of the village runs the L 1431 state road leading from Klam to Grein. The population of the village was assigned to the parish and the Klam school district.

From a geological and geomorphological point of view, as well as from the point of view of the use of space, Oberhörnach is entirely part of the Upper Austrian space units southern Mühlviertel region .

history

At the time the Josephine situation book was introduced , there were 9 small and 6 large houses in Hörnbach, although at that time there was no separation between Unter- and Oberhörnbach. Small monuments in the village are the Huber cross (chapel) and the Gensreiter cross, which was erected at the end of the 18th century.
