Brake District Court

The District Court of Brake is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of eleven district courts in the district of the District Court of Oldenburg .

The seat of the court is Brake in the Wesermarsch district in Lower Saxony . The judicial district comprises the central and southern part of the Wesermarsch district with the cities of Brake and Elsfleth and the communities of Berne , Jade , Lemwerder and Ovelgönne . The District Court of Oldenburg is superordinate to the District Court of Brake, the competent Higher Regional Court is the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg .

history

In the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg , the Brake District Court and the Ovelgönne District Court were located downstream. With the Courts Constitution Act of August 29, 1857, the judiciary was reorganized: The offices remained the entrance authorities, but the administration of justice and administration were separated. With the entry into force of the Reich Justice Laws , the court organization was reorganized in 1879 and the Brake District Court was formed.
