Anatoli Ivanovich Grigoriev ( Russian Анатолий Иванович Григорьев * 23. March 1943 in Medelewka, Rajon Radomishl ) is a Ukrainian - Russian physiologist , aerospace medicine and university teachers .

Life

Grigoriev studied at the 2nd Moscow Medical Institute ( Pirogov -Institut) with completion in 1966. Then he was aspirant in Vassily Parin in the Institute of Medical - Biological Problems (IMBP) in 1963 on the initiative of Sergei Pavlovich Korolev and Mstislav Vsevolodovich Keldyschs founded was. In 1970 he received his doctorate for a candidate in medical sciences with his study of kidney functions under space flight conditions.

Grigoryev stayed at the IMBP and became laboratory director in 1978. In 1980 he was with his study of the water - electrolyte - metabolism and renal function during space flight to the doctor of medical sciences PhD. He then became department head and in 1983 first vice director of the IMBP. In 1986 he was appointed professor . One of his students was Igor Borisovich Ushakov .

In 1988 Grigoryev became director of the IMBP as successor to Oleg Georgievich Gasenkos and corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR (since 1991 Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (RAMN)). The central research topic was the behavior of human organs during space flights. As director of the IMBP, he was in charge of medical support for the Russian Mir space station and Russian medical support for the International Space Station ISS .

Grigoryev became a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences in 1990 (since 1991 Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN)), in 1993 a real member of the RAMN and in 1997 a real member of the RAN. In 2001 he became a member of the Presidium of RAN, in 2002 Academy Secretary for the Department of Biological Sciences (until 2008) and Vice President of RAN in 2007 (until 2017). From 2004–2006 he was Vice President of the International Astronautical Federation .

Since 1996 Grigoryev has headed the Chair of Space Medicine and Ecological Medicine at the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine at Lomonosov University Moscow (MGU).

In 2008 Grigoryev resigned from the director's office and became the scientific director of the IMBP.
