Andrée Jeglertz (born February 14, 1972 in Malmö ) is a former Swedish football player who now works as a coach. With Umeå IK he won the UEFA Women's Cup and in Damallsvenskan the Kronprinsessan-Victorias-Pokal as the Swedish national champion.

Career

Player career

Jeglertz began playing football at Husie IF before joining the Malmö FF youth team in 1985 . At the club from Skåne he made 25 appearances in the Allsvenskan . In 1993 he moved on to Umeå FC in the second-class Division 1 . In 1994 he reached with the team the second place behind Djurgårdens IF , but failed in the promotion games to Västra Frölunda IF . The following year he was promoted as a master before Gefle IF .

In 1997 Jeglertz moved to the second-class IFK Hässleholm . With the club he missed relegation in 1998 in the southern season of the league. After a year in the third division, he moved to Gimonäs CK in the fourth division. In 2002 he returned for one season to Umeå FC, who had been relegated to the third division.

Coaching career

In 2003, Jeglertz started his first coaching position at Gimonäs CK as a player-coach. The following year he led the club to the top of Division 3 Mellersta Norrland , so that he was presented with an offer from the women's first division Umeå IK during the season . This he led in the 2004 season to runner-up behind Djurgården / Älvsjö and to victory in the UEFA Women's Cup 2003/04 through two final successes over 1. FFC Frankfurt . In the following seasons he dominated the league with his team and won four championships in a row between 2005 and 2008. He also won the Swedish Cup with her in 2007 and the Swedish Supercup in 2007 and 2008. In 2007 and 2008 he reached the finals of the UEFA Women's Cup with Umeå IK again, which were lost to Arsenal LFC and 1. FFC Frankfurt.

After Djurgårdens IF had separated from coach Sigurður Jónsson in November 2008 due to a disappointing twelfth rank in the 2008 season , the press announced in December the commitment of a coaching duo consisting of Jeglertz and Zoran Lukić . Jeglertz should be responsible for the defense work and the game system, while Lukić's area of responsibility included the attacking game and playing technique. In June, Steve Galloway replaced Lukić as a coaching colleague. After the team was involved in the relegation battle during the season, they only saved themselves in the relegation games against Assyriska Föreningen after extra time from relegation to the Superettan . After the end of the season, the club management tried to install shared responsibility between Jeglertz and Lennart Wass , but he refused and resigned from his position.

At the end of December 2009, Jeglertz returned to women's football and took over the Finnish national team .
