Andrea Bellandi (born October 22, 1960 in Florence , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno .

Life

Andrea Bellandi entered the seminary of the Archdiocese of Florence in 1979 and studied as a seminarist at the Pontifical Lombard Seminary at the Pontifical Gregorian University . On April 4, 1985 he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archbishopric of Florence through Archbishop Silvano Piovanelli .

Since 1987 he has been a full lecturer at the Theological Studies in Florence, which in 1997 was absorbed into the Theological Faculty of Central Italy . From 2003 to 2009 he was dean of the faculty. He has also been the spiritual director of university students since 1990 and pastor of the parish of San Giovannino dei Cavalieri in Florence since 1996 . In 2010 he was appointed to the cathedral chapter and became the archbishop's representative for the formation of the clergy . In 2014 he became Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Florence. He was a member of the priestly council and the pastoral council of the archdiocese. For several years he was regional manager and member of the National Council of the Comunione e Liberazione movement .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno on May 4, 2019 . The Archbishop of Florence, Cardinal Giuseppe Betori , ordained him episcopal on July 6th of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Naples , Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe , and the Archbishop of Taranto , Filippo Santoro .
