Andrea Pizzitola (born June 19, 1992 in Montpellier ) is a French racing driver .

Career

Karting

Pizzitola made his first steps in motorsport in 2008 when he competed in local championships. His best result was an eighth place in the French KF2 championship, which he achieved in 2011 .

Formula Renault

From 2011 he competed in the French Formula 4 championship in the 1.6 liter class. That season he was the runner-up of the championship and trumped his future Eurocup rival Matthieu Vaxiviere . This season Pizzitola achieved seven podium finishes, including three wins (Lédenon, Val de Vienne and Albi ).

The following year, Pizzitola switched to the 2-liter Formula Renault class in the R-Ace GP team. With this team he competed in the Formula Renault Eurocup . At the end of the season he was 21st in the championship; he had achieved two target earnings within the points. He also competed with R-Ace GP in the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup . In this championship he achieved podium positions in Hockenheim , at the Nürburgring and in Assen .
