Andreas Nowak (politician)

Andreas Nowak (born April 12, 1975 in Dresden ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was elected to the Saxon state parliament in August 2014 . Nowak is the transport policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group.

Career

Nowak made in 1993 in Leipzig , the High School and studied subsequently law at the University of Leipzig and the Technical University of Dresden . In 2001 he switched to the international UNECSO master's program in Culture & Management, a joint project of the Technical University of Dresden, the University of Applied Sciences in Zittau / Görlitz and the Institute for Cultural Infrastructure Görlitz. He is a member of the Alfred Nobel artist group, which was founded at this time.

Nowak worked as a freelancer for Sachsenradio / mdr 1 Radio Sachsen in 1991/1992 and from 1994 for the private provider Radio Energy Sachsen . In 1999 he was PR chief for communications with Prime Minister Kurt Biedenkopf in the state election campaign for the election to the 3rd Saxon state parliament . Subsequently, he worked as a consultant for the Leipzig Opera Ball and the campaign of Mayor Klaus Mättig in Freital .

In 2002 and 2003 he worked in the national selection phase for the application of the city of Leipzig for the XXX. Olympic Summer Games 2012. Nowak has been working as a freelance consultant for communication and marketing in the fields of politics , culture and business since 2003.

Nowak is a Roman Catholic , single and has no children. He is the son of Wolfgang Nowak , who was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament until 2002 .

Nowak is one of the founding members of the Junge Union Sachsen in autumn 1989 and was its press spokesman from 1990 to 1992.

From 2010 to 2015 he was chairman of the CDU local association Leipzig-Nordost. In the election of Leipzig's mayor in 2013, Nowak acted as press spokesman for CDU candidate Horst Wawrzynski .

Nowak was elected in the state elections in Saxony on August 31, 2014 as a direct candidate in the Leipzig 3 constituency in the Saxon state parliament.

In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 he was re-elected as constituency member in the Leipzig 3 constituency with 28.3 percent of the direct votes.
