Andreas von Studnitz
Andreas von Studnitz (born February 9, 1954 in Bonn ) is a German theater director, theater director and actor. From 2006 to 2018 he was director of the Ulm Theater .
Life and artistic work
Studnitz is the son of the journalist Hans Georg von Studnitz and his wife Vera, b. Student. After graduating from high school in Salem , he first studied law and later acting at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich . From 1979 he worked as an actor, assistant director, senior stage director, director and guest director at various German-speaking city and state theaters a. a. in Bochum , Bremen , Dortmund , Essen , Frankfurt , Hamburg , Karlsruhe , Cologne , Lübeck , Nuremberg ,Tübingen , Vienna , Wiesbaden etc.
Andreas von Studnitz took part in several TV films.
Since the 2006/2007 season he has been the artistic director of the Ulm Theater with the musical theater , spoken theater and dance theater divisions . One of his first official acts was to rename the Ulm Theater to Theater Ulm . In the city on the Danube he staged a. a. The festival of Thomas Vinterberg and Mogens Rukov, Schrottengel by Peter Zelenka , Magda by Claude Prin , Kiki, the chicken by Karen Köhler , A family story by Edna Mazya, Montparnasse cemetery by Dominique Valentin, a matter of honor by Lutz Hübner .
In the 2009/2010 season he staged Die Buddenbrooks as a guest director at the State Theater in Nuremberg . In 2016 he took over the direction of the romantic-comic magic play The Alpine King and the Misanthrope by Ferdinand Raimund at the Landestheater Linz .
His contract in Ulm ran until the end of the 2017/18 season.
