society

After Lunin had previously played for Arsenal Kharkiv and Metalist Kharkiv , he came into the youth of FK Dnipro . Without ever having been in the professional squad, he made his debut in Premjer-Liha in October 2016 when he started against Karpaty Lviv on matchday 11 of the 2016/17 season . At the end of the season he had 22 league appearances to book. With Dnipro, however, he had to relegate from the highest Ukrainian league.

He then moved to Zorya Luhansk for the 2017/18 season . With Zorya he took part in the Europa League that season . Lunin was used in all six group games; Zorya was eliminated as third in group J in the preliminary round. In the league, Lunin came to 29 appearances.

For the 2018/19 season, Lunin moved to the Spanish Primera División for Real Madrid , where he received a contract that ran until June 2024. Initially, he was scheduled as a substitute goalkeeper behind Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla . After another goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois , was signed, Lunin switched to league rivals CD Leganés on loan until the end of the season . There he came to Iván Cuéllar to 5 appearances in the Primera División and 2 appearances in the Copa del Rey .

Lunin returned to Real Madrid in preparation for the summer of 2019 and was the third goalkeeper behind Thibaut Courtois and Keylor Navas at the time . Shortly before the start of the 2019/20 season, he switched to league rivals Real Valladolid for a year on loan . There he was substitute goalkeeper behind Jordi Masip . Since Lunin was only used twice in the Copa del Rey , he was awarded to the second division Real Oviedo in mid-January 2020 until the end of the season .
