Oswaldo Alanís (born March 18, 1989 in Morelia , Michoacán ) is a Mexican football player on the position of defender .

career

Alanís began his professional career with Tecos UAG , for which he was first used on April 26, 2009 in the Mexican Primera División . The game in the Clausura 2009 took place in Mexico's largest stadium, the Aztec Stadium , and ended with a 2-1 away win at Club America .

His first goal in the top Mexican division scored Alanís on March 12, 2010 in a home game against Indios de Ciudad Juarez , which was won 4-1. Already in the next home game on March 26, 2010 against Cruz Azul , Alanís scored his only brace in the Mexican premier league and was thus “Player of the Day” in the 2-1 win against the Cementeros .

After the Tecos were relegated to the second division at the end of the 2011/12 season , Alanís moved to Club Santos Laguna , with whom he won the Mexican cup competition in Apertura 2014 and the Mexican championship title in Clausura 2015 .

From mid-2015 to mid-2018, Alanís was under contract with Mexico's most popular club, Chivas Guadalajara , with whom he won another championship title in Clausura 2017 and was also able to celebrate two cup wins. At the international level, he won the Chivasi 2018 the CONCACAF Champions League .

On May 7, 2018, the President of Spanish Getafe FC announced that Alanís would play for the Madrid suburban club after the 2018 World Cup .

National team

Alanís was appointed to the Mexican squad at the 2011 Copa America , but was not used there. He made his debut for the Mexican national team on September 6, 2014 in a goalless game against Chile. In July 2015, Alanís was part of the Mexican squad that won the CONCACAF Gold Cup and played both in the semifinals against Panama (2-1 aet) and in the 3-1 final win against Jamaica.
