Andy Bartosh (born Andreas Bartosch , * 1959 in Vienna ) is an Austrian musician (jazz and rock guitarist, songwriter) and music producer .

Bartosh initially learned to play the guitar autodidactically and later studied at the Vienna Conservatory, where he graduated with distinction. He began his career with the Backyard Bluesband together with Christian Dozzler and took part in various jazz bands in his youth, but also with z. B. Peter Kraus takes part in tours. He was also engaged by musicians such as Mick Taylor , Donovan , Louisiana Red and others. a. Since 1986 he has been part of the jazz combo Juju (with Stefan Pelzl , Karl Sayer , Klaus Göhr , Ilse Riedler), which have several albums, etc. a. with the jazz drummer Idris Muhammad (1989) and Ingrid Jensen (1992).

From 1997 to 2000 he formed the duo Alice in the Fields with Myriam Filz , with whom he recorded two albums and achieved chart placements in Austria, Russia and Spain. 2000-2001 he was a leader of F @ lco - A CyberShow where under the direction of Paulus Manker , among other Hansi Lang , André Eisermann , Patricia Simpson and Roman Gregory occurred. From 2002 to 2009 Andy Bartosh was the music producer of the ORF casting show Starmania, Heroes of Tomorrow . From autumn 2005 to 2011 he was guitarist in the stars orchestra of the ORF show Dancing Stars .

He has also composed film music for Al Capone: The Untouchable Legend ( RTL ), When Nature Strikes Back: Landslides and Monsoon ( National Geographic ). Composer and lyricist in English and Austrian dialect for Alice In The Fields, Triomobü Quartett, Tini Kainrath , Trickopop.

As a guitarist he also worked with the group The Slow Club (Hansi Lang, Thomas Rabitsch and Wolfgang Schlögl ), which received the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the jazz / folk / blues category in 2006, until Hansi Lang's death .

From 1990 to 1997 he headed the jazz department of the Prayner Conservatory and then until 2010 that of the Gustav Mahler Conservatory in Vienna, where he taught improvisation, jazz theory, stage band and soloist ensembles. In 2011 he founded the JAM MUSIC LAB with Marcus Ratka and Joe Valentin as a conservatory for jazz and popular music. Active as managing director at JAM MUSIC LAB up to the accreditation as a private university in 2017. Since 2017 he has been teaching guitar as a major and leads several ensembles.

Bartosh has been running the LBA-Studio recording studio since 1995. Active as a producer for artists such as Heli Deinboek, Valerie Sajdik, Karmakanic, Jonas Reingold, Balis, Alice in the Fields, Triomobü Quartet. In 2007 Bartosh released the album ZZ74 , 2015 Wilderness .

Since 2019 he has been the band leader and guitarist of the Andy Bartosh Xperience.
