Andy Williams (special effects artist)
Andrew "Andy" Williams (* before 1985) is a special effects artist who was nominated for an Oscar in 2016 for Best Visual Effects .
Life
He studied at La Salle University in Philadelphia and received his Bachelor of Arts in communication. He then worked at Shooter Inc. , where he was initially responsible for the advertising sector as production manager and later as executive producer for the advertising and feature film sector. He then spent seven years at Studio DIVE in New York before moving to Stargate Studios in 2015 . In 2016 he finally moved to double negative visual effects in the Los Angeles office .
In 2016 he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects , along with Andrew Jackson , Dan Oliver and Tom Wood for his work on Mad Max: Fury Road .
