Angela Zumpe

Angela Zumpe (born November 7, 1953 in Berlin ) is a German filmmaker , media artist and painter .

Life

Angela Zumpe studied from 1973 to 1981 at the Berlin University of the Arts with Rudolf Kügler , Fred Thieler and Hans-Jürgen Diehl and became a master student of the latter in 1981. In 1977 she was accepted into the Professional Association of Visual Artists Berlin and since then has gained a lot of exhibition experience, including in the Great Munich and the Great Düsseldorf Art Exhibition. She passed her first state examination in art education in 1981/82. After completing her studies, she went to New York City on an annual scholarship from the DAAD to study film at New York University , Institute of Film and Television.

In 1991 she founded Paste Up Productions , a digital imaging and experimental video work company. In 1991/92 she worked as a film designer for the broadcasters SFB, rbb, RIAS TV, Deutsche Welle, MDR and Sat1. She then became art director for the newly founded news channel n-tv , where she developed the corporate design .

She was a lecturer in digital image design at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). After professorships in Stuttgart, Mainz and Essen, she has been Professor of Audiovisual Media in the Design Department at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau since 1998 . There she called the short film festival schnongs! into life. She is a member of the AG-Dok.
