Angelina Krauße (* 4. June 1994 in Büttelborn as Angelina Herröder ) is a German show jumper .

Career

Angelina Herröder rode her first advanced level jumping at the age of eleven. In 2007 she started in her first three-star S and immediately came in fourth. It came third in the Prize of the Future.

Shortly thereafter, she was awarded the Golden Riding Badge at the festival hall tournament in Frankfurt . At that time she was just thirteen years old and thus the youngest rider of all time to receive this honor. Even their role model, the Nations Cup rider Christian Ahlmann , who held the record for almost two decades, was older.

In 2008 Herröder finished fifth in the individual ranking of the European Junior Championships, making him the best German. At the Junior Nations Cup in Hagen , she jumped into second place with Baxter . She finished the Ising Grand Prix , a CSI **, in seventh place. At the German Junior Championship she was fifth in 2009.

In 2010 she rode at the European Junior Championships in Jardy in a team with Anna-Elisa Schäfer, Maurice Tebbel, Josch Löhden and Stefanie Reining. Angelina Herröder is trained by her father Siegfried Herröder and the previous national trainer for young riders, Dietmar Gugler . In May 2013 at the Whitsun tournament in Wiesbaden she had the first opportunity to take part in a special stage of the Global Champions Tour . She was unable to qualify for the second round, which she accompanied as a co-commentator on Eurosport . Angelina Herröder won team gold with Trixi at the 2014 European Young Rider Championships in Arezzo .

At her last European Young Rider Championships in 2015, she competed with Trixi as a single starter and came in 28th. At the end of 2015 Angelina Herröder announced the end of her professional equestrian career in order to pursue professional activities outside of equestrian sports.

Private

Her father Siegfried Herröder is a former Nations Cup rider and young trainer, brother Sascha a professional football player. In December 2017 she married the soccer player Robin Krauße and took his last name.
