Anita Lipnicka
Anita Lipnicka (born June 13, 1975 in Piotrków Trybunalski ) is a Polish singer and songwriter .
Career stations
At the age of 15, Anita became a model , as a result of which she visited Japan and Siberia , among others . As a vocalist she made her debut in a Krakow cabaret of the Rafał Kmity group and recognized her singing talent there. A short time later she founded her first band Certificado and performed with her for the first time. She also began to write her first songs .
During a performance by her band in Łódź , she met the local band Varius Manx , which at the time only played instrumental pieces . Both sides were quickly taken with each other, so that Anita finally became the lead singer of the group in 1993, which was fruitful in the first joint album Emu and led the band together with Anita to national success. The album reached platinum status in the spring of 1994 . In the same year, the group won the Music Festival of Sopot and Emu was designed by the Polish editions of the teen magazines Bravo and Popcorn voted album of the year. Also in 1994 Lipnicka took part in the album Abrasax of the successful Polish group De Mono , on which she can be heard with the song Zaklęci w tańcu do końca świata .
In April 1995, the next album, Elf , was released, which reached gold status on the day of publication . Varius Manx and Anita Lipnicka achieved ultimate popularity when the group's songs were also heard as part of the soundtrack in the successful Polish feature film Młode Wilki . While the band received numerous prizes and awards at the end of the year, including a. “Best band of the year”, Anita decided in spite of this to leave the band in early 1996 and start a solo career.
In 1996 she moved to London for 10 months , where she learned the English language and also took dance lessons . She recorded her first solo album Wszystko się może zdarzyć in London's Livingstone Studio , which sold almost 400,000 times.
In March 1997 Anita was nominated 5 times for the Polish music award Fryderyk '96 . Shortly afterwards, she returned to London, where she recorded her second album To co naprawdę , which was released in June 1998 and contained the singles Historia jednej miłości , O niczym and Gin z tonikiem . In the same year she also made her acting debut in the Polish film Pułapka , but with little success.
In October 2000 Anita brought out her third solo album Moje oczy sązielone , which was created again in Poland and the composition of which comes from Edyta Bartosiewicz , Stefan Hellstrand, Mark Waterfield and Robert Amirian, while the lyrics were mostly written by Lipnicka himself.
By from Staffordshire in England dating John Porter (born August 15, 1950), one living in Poland for many years musicians with which Anita finally entered a still ongoing relationship, both worked again in London on with string instruments under painted, common Album Nieprzyzwoite piosenki from, which was released in November 2003.
In September 2005 the second joint album by Lipnicka and Porter, Inside Story , was released, which for the first time contained songs in English and, unlike usual, was created in Studio Metro in Slovenia when Anita was already pregnant by John Porter. Hold On was released as a single .
The daughter of Anita Lipnicka and John Porter, Pola, was born on February 23, 2006.
In February 2008, the third and currently last joint album Goodbye was released, which was recorded again in Polish studios, the singles Old Time Radio and Lonesome Traveler contained and reached gold status.
In November 2008 Anita Lipnicka was on a solo album by producer Chris Eckman , Last Side of the Mountain , with the song Who Will Light Your Path? to listen.
In November 2009 Lipnicka again released her own solo album in London, Hard Land of Wonder , which, like her previous songs, has only contained English-language songs since 2005. Since then, Anita Lipnicka has increasingly tried herself as a music producer : She invites artists and bands from England to the studio to work on joint projects and gain experience.
