Life

Anna Gotta did an apprenticeship as a tailor after elementary school , which she completed in 1926 with the journeyman's examination. In the same year she joined the SPD. She attended an adult education center and later studied at the German University of Politics in Berlin . In 1932 she passed the master's examination as a seamstress. During this time she took an exam at the Arbeiterwohlfahrtschule Berlin and received state recognition as a youth welfare worker . In 1935 she was initially released, but was able to work as a child welfare worker in Berlin-Mitte from 1940 to 1944 . In the post-war period in Germany she was initially a trade teacher at the Hauptschulamt Berlin. She then studied at the University of Education in Berlin , which she graduated in 1947 as a qualified trade teacher. In January 1947 she moved to the city ​​council of Greater Berlin , since Walter Wüst left parliament. In the subsequent election to the city council of Greater Berlin in 1948 , she ran again and in vain for the city council. But she was elected to the district assembly in the Wedding district. From 1949 to 1951 she was district councilor for youth. Later she was headmaster and vocational school director.
