Anna Rudolf (born November 12, 1987 in Miskolc ) is a Hungarian chess player . She has the title of International Master (IM).

Single successes

In 2008, 2010 and 2011 she won the Hungarian national championship for women. Anna Rudolf has been the women's grandmaster since 2008 , and she achieved the necessary standards in April 2007 at the European Women's Championships in Dresden and in December 2007 at the Open in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy . The WGM norm from Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy was also the norm for the title of International Master (IM), it fulfilled further IM norms in 2010 at the Szentgotthárd tournament in Szentgotthárd and in July 2014 at the chess festival in Biel / Bienne , so that you 2015 the IM title was awarded. Her highest published Elo number is 2393 in July 2010, but she reached the minimum Elo of 2400 required for the IM title in the second round of the IV Open Internacional Hotel Avenida de Canarias 2010 tournament .

Club chess

In the NB I. Szabó László csoport , the highest class of the Hungarian team championship, she played for Községi Sportegyesület Decs from 2007 to 2012 , and in the German women's Bundesliga Anna Rudolf has been playing for the Rodewian chess chicks since 2009 . In the British Four Nations Chess League she played for the Slough Sharks from 2005 to 2008 , in France Rudolf plays for the Club de Vandœuvre-Echecs , with which she won the French women's team championship in 2012 and took part in the women's European Club Cup in 2009 . controversy

Rudolf caused a sensation, who at that time had an Elo rating of 2293, at the Open in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy in December 2007. There she defeated the tournament favorite Christian Bauer , among others , finished ninth with six points from nine games and fulfilled a standard for the title of international champion . After her successes in the first rounds of the tournament, she was accused of cheating by three players - Oleg Krivonosov, Vladimir Lazarev and Ilmārs Starostīts . They suspected that their trains had been transmitted via a receiving device disguised as a lip balm. They did not provide any evidence of this, but during the remaining rounds Rudolf was under increased observation by the referees . In the last round Rudolf had to play against Starostīts, who refused to give her the usual handshake. After the tournament, the Hungarian Chess Federation protested against the “unethical behavior” of the three players and requested an examination by the FIDE ethics committee .
