Annah Watkinson (born July 27, 1981 in Johannesburg ) is a South African triathlete and national champion in the triathlon middle distance (2016).

Career

Annah Watkinson started her first triathlon in 2011. She started as a professional athlete in 2016 and is trained by the former South African triathlete and multiple Ironman winner Raynard Tissink .

In February 2013, Annah Watkinson became national runner-up in long-distance triathlon.

In January 2019, with her winning time of 4:21:14 h, she won the Ironman 70.3 South Africa in a new course record and in April she was third at the Ironman South Africa . In August, the 38-year-old finished second behind the Swiss Daniela Ryf in the Trans Vorarlberg Triathlon in the middle distance on Lake Constance .

Watkinson lives in her native Johannesburg.
