Anne-Caroline Graffe (born February 12, 1986 in Papeete , French Polynesia ) is a French Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class over 73 kilograms. She is a Knight of the French National Order of Merit .

Graffe started her sport at the age of eleven with the Tahitian club AS Manu-Ura . In 2003 she moved to France to train under professional conditions. In the same year she took part in the world championship for the first time in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , but was eliminated in her opening fight. She finally had her first successes in 2008, she reached the semi-finals at the European Championships in Rome and won bronze. At the next European Championship in Saint Petersburg in 2010 , Graffe rose by one place and won silver, she only lost in the final against Rosana Simón .

Graffe celebrated her greatest sporting success in 2011 in Gyeongju . At the world championship she won the final against the favorite local hero An Sae-bom and won her first world title. She also won the title at the European Championship in Manchester the following year , beating Rosana Simón in the final, against whom she had previously lost eight times in a row in various competitions. Graffe qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games in London . There she advanced to the final and won the silver medal after a 7: 9 defeat against Milica Mandić .
