Anne-Marie Sprotte (born August 8, 1942 in Vienna ) is a former German presenter and television announcer .

Life

Anne-Marie Sprotte was born in Vienna as the youngest of three siblings, but soon moved with her family to Munich , where she attended high school and dreamed of being a stewardess. At Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) she already earned some money on Sundays in the radio choir, but before she found permanent employment at the station, she first completed a commercial apprenticeship after graduating from high school, which she completed with a commercial diploma. She then worked for a year as a secretary in an architecture office and helped out as an announcer at the BR, which placed her in the same position for the Süddeutscher Rundfunk in Stuttgart . This was followed by a hostess job at the World Exhibition in New York in 1965 . On her return she was selected by Südwestfunk in Baden-Baden from 400 applicants for a vacant position in the ranks of program director Günter Gaus . During the three years from October 1, 1966 to September 30, 1969, she had half a year of speaking lessons. Trained in theory and practice in this way, she now switched to BR, which initiated the rise of her successor Dagmar Berghoff .
