Anne Weber (born November 21, 1966 in Detmold ) is a German actress .

Life

She grew up in Kiel and received her training at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum . From 1989 to 1993 she was engaged at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . Here she played Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream and the title role in Emilia Galotti (1991, directed by Werner Schroeter ).

In 1993/94 she went to the Deutsche Schauspielhaus in Hamburg , to which she belonged until 2005. Here she worked in Elfriede Jelinek's Wolken.Heim, directed by Jossi Wieler, and was elected Actress of the Year in 1994 together with her five colleagues by the jury of Theater heute magazine .

She was also the leading actress in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn , Recha in Nathan der Weise and Blanche in Labiche's Das Sparschwein . She was also involved in many recitals by Franz Wittenbrink .

Since 2005 she has appeared often at the St. Pauli Theater in Hamburg , including as Annette Reille in The God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza . She played the same role at the Schauspiel Köln in autumn 2008 .
