Annemarie in the Au

Annemarie in der Au (born October 22, 1924 as Annemarie Westphal in Tilsit ; † August 18, 1998 in Krefeld ) was a German writer .

Life

Annemarie in der Au grew up in Tilsit , East Prussia , where she also passed her school leaving examination. Then she began to study pharmacy , which she had to break off because of the war. She fled westward from the advancing Red Army . In Lübeck and Hamburg she completed an apprenticeship as an actress ; at the same time she studied literature , art and theater history . In 1953 she married the director and actor Ottomar in der Au. In 1955, their daughter Dietlind was born in the Au. In the following years, Annemarie in der Au switched to writing literary texts. She later moved to Krefeld , where she worked as a freelance journalist , writer and lecturer at the adult education center . She was a member of the authors 'association Die Kogge , the Esslingen artists' guild and the Marburger Kreis .

Annemarie in der Aus Werk mainly comprises poetry , but also narrative works , essays , plays , radio plays and radio features .
