annette hollywood's works deal critically and humorously with the representation of art, identity and gender concepts. In doing so, she repeatedly questions the social, structural and economic conditions of art production and discourse today - processes of the production of artistic identity, authorship and participation mechanisms.
With her strategy of “performing found footage”, in which she deconstructs phenomena of pop culture and mass media , she connects to artistic approaches such as expanded cinema , appropriation art and feminist art .
