Ante Ćorić (born April 14, 1997 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian football player . The midfielder is under contract with AS Roma in the Italian Serie A.
Career

Ćorić was born in 1997 in Zagreb as the son of Bosnian Croats . At the age of five he started playing football at NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac . When he was nine years old, he moved to the youth department of local rivals NK Zagreb . In 2009 he turned down offers from the top European clubs FC Bayern Munich , FC Chelsea and FC Barcelona to join the juniors of the Austrian club FC Red Bull Salzburg . His older brother Josip Čorić and the rest of the family also moved to Austria. In 2013 he waived a contract extension in Salzburg and moved back to his home country to Dinamo Zagreb for a transfer fee of 900,000 euros .
In the second half of the 2013/14 season he made his debut in the 1st HNL , the highest Croatian league, on April 16, 2014 . By the end of the season he had a total of six missions in which he scored one goal, and was finally able to celebrate winning the championship with his team. Further regular appearances in the league followed in 2014/15 , including his first international appearance in the second round of qualifying for the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League . Further appearances followed in the qualifying round and group stage of the UEFA Europa League . With his goal to make it 5-1 in the group game against Astra Giurgiu on September 18, 2014, at the age of 17 years, five months and four days, he became the youngest Europa League goalscorer of all time.
For the 2018/19 season he then moved to Italy in Serie A at AS Roma , for which he played twice this season. Since the beginning of the 2019/20 season , he has been loaned to the Spanish second division UD Almería .
National team
Ćorić went through all national teams of the Croatian Football Association . In 2012, at the age of 15, he made his debut for the U-15, U-16 and U-17 teams within a few months. On March 3, 2014, at the age of 16, he also played for the U-18 national team for the first time, and just a few months later he also made his debut for the U-19 and U-21 teams . For the U-21 national team, he was used in the qualification for the U-21 European Championship 2015 in a group game and the play-offs, where the Croatians failed to England .
On May 27, 2016, he played for the first time in the first team in the 1-0 victory over Moldova.
At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Croatian squad . As the only field player in the squad, he was not used at the tournament.
