Antonio Mura (born December 28, 1952 in Bortigali , Nuoro Province , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Nuoro and Lanusei .

Life

Antonio Mura received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Alghero-Bosa on August 1, 1979 .

On January 31, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Lanusei . The substitute of the Vatican State Secretariat , Archbishop Giovanni Angelo Becciu , donated him episcopal ordination on March 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Alghero-Bosa, Mauro Maria Morfino SDB , and the Archbishop of Cagliari , Arrigo Miglio . The inauguration took place on April 27, 2014.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Nuoro on July 2, 2019 . He continues to administer the diocese of Lanusei as Apostolic Administrator . The inauguration in the Diocese of Nuoro took place on September 15 of the same year.

On April 9, 2020, Pope Francis reappointed him as Bishop of Lanusei, uniting the dioceses of Nuoro and Lanusei in persona episcopi .
