The Antonov An-180 was a project by the Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer Antonow .

development

The design provided for a middle - wing passenger aircraft with swept wings and a turboprop drive. The development started in 1991 was discontinued in 2005. The intended attachment of the Iwtschenko Progress D-27 turboprop engines, each equipped with two counter-rotating propellers , at the ends of pylons below the T-tailplane should be emphasized . Initially, it was planned to mount the engines at the ends of the horizontal stabilizer. The seating was provided in the arrangement 2-2-2.

The first flight was originally supposed to take place in 1995.
