The Apostolic Vicariate Paksé (Latin Apostolicus Vicariatus Paksensis ) is an Apostolic Vicariate of the Catholic Church in Laos with its seat in Pakse .

It includes the four southernmost provinces in the country: Champasak , Salavan , Attapeu and Sekong . The Vicariate was created on June 12, 1967 by splitting off the southern part of the Savannakhet Vicariate .

There are 60 parishes in the Paksé Vicariate , 52 of which have permanent church buildings. Apostolic Vicar was Bishop Louis-Marie Ling Mangkhanekhoun from October 2000 to December 2017 , who was created cardinal in June 2017 . About 15,000 baptized Catholics live in the entire vicariate, who make up only about 1 percent of the population. There are only a few diocesan priests active in the area, along with around 70 catechists and 16 nuns , 10 of whom belong to the Order of the Sisters of Mercy and 6 to the Order of Amantes de la Croix (as of the end of 2016).
