Arlberg-Express is an Austrian adventure film from 1948 and is based on a screenplay by Curt Johannes Braun .

The film describes the story of Hans Leitner, who returned to Vienna in 1948 after being a prisoner of war for three years . The musician cannot find work in post-war Vienna. A suitcase full of jewels thrown from a train entangles Leitner in the criminal machinations of a gang. With the help of the young Christl, with whom Leitner falls in love, he can flee abroad with the Arlberg Express across the border to save.
