Brood gold

Armand de Brignac's champagnes are made as prestige cuvées from several vintages of base wines . The opaque, metal bottles bear characteristic pewter labels with an ace of spades logo. Armand de Brignac offers three different prestige cuvées. The Brut Gold Cuvée, which has been available since 2006, is made from the three main champagne varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Only grapes from vineyards that are classified by the CIVC as Premier Cru or Grand Cru are used. Only 44 of the total of 319 wine-growing communities in Champagne carry this award. The two other cuvées, Armand de Brignac Rosé and Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs, have been on the market since 2008.

Bottle sizes

Armand de Brignac revolutionized the large-format champagne bottles in the luxury world and offers bottles in sizes 750 milliliters , 1.5, 3, 6, 15 and, since 2011, 30 liters . The 15L Rosé Nebuchadnezzar is the largest rosé champagne bottle in the world. The largest bottle ever is the Brut Gold Midas . It weighs more than 45 kilograms , is almost 1.5 meters high and requires several people to transport the bottle and pour the drink.

Culture and media

Armand de Brignac was the official champagne of the German Film Awards 2011 and 2012. Each award winner received a bottle of Brut Gold. Bottles of the brand were featured in the Jay-Z music video Show Me What You Got . In hip-hop lyrics, the brand is also known as "Ace of Spades". The champagne is also known as the "new Cristal ". Beyoncé referred to the brand on their album of the same name in 2013 in the song Drunk in Love .

In June 2011, gave Mark Cuban 90,000 US dollars for a 15 liter bottle of Armand de Brignac-mark the NBA -Sieges the Dallas Mavericks made. A week later, the Boston Bruins overtook the Mavericks and ordered a Midas (30 liter) bottle of champagne for $ 100,000. In 2011 only six of the bottles were produced. Late that year, gambler Don Johnson bought another 30L bottle of the champagne for £ 120,000 at London's One For One nightclub in an attempt to set the world record for the most expensive champagne bought.

Awards

In a blind tasting carried out by the specialist magazine Fine Champagne Magazine , in which a total of 1,000 champagne brands were evaluated, Armand de Brignac Brut Gold received the award for “best champagne in the world” in November 2009.
